USEF and FEI competitions: The Unites States Equestrian Federation banned Lavender Essential Oil for equine products as the scent may have a calming effect. While our Horse Wash Lemon Lavender contains lavender oil at less than .03%, we advise to use our Unscented or Rose Geranium scent options for competition horses. Always check products’ ingredient lists with the USEF and FEI banned ingredient list .
FYI: When you get your soap, you may have some small bubbles that have collected at the top during bottling. We fill bottles straight from the soap kettle and this makes a few “suds.” And, our soap will change color with changing temperatures—sunflower wax and the essential oils may crystallize and turn cloudy in cold temps and back to clear in warm temps.

If you want to dive deep into our ingredients, here’s why we use them, where we get them, and a link to the companies’ information. As gold as the flowers it comes from and high in Vitamin E, Oliver Farm Virgin Sunflower oil is unrefined, cold-pressed and Non-GMO. Sunflower is Non-GMO, as the sunflower plant has not been genetically modified. We purchase our US Grown, USDA Certified Organic Virgin Flaxseed and US Grown Organic Extra Virgin Pumpkin Seed Oil and Organic Coconut Oil, along with USP pharmaceutical grade Castor Oil from JEdwards International, located in Maine. The pumpkin is deep green and has Omega-3 Fatty Acids and carotenes. The coconut oil is a good cleaner and provided bubbles with all the lauric fatty acid. The USP Pharmaceutical Grade Vegetable Glycerin originates with IFFCO, a palm processing company that has been a member of the Roundtable of Sustainable Palm Oil since 2013. Here’s their RSPO audit certification. Our Lebermuth essential oils round out the scent offerings.
